Milind’s love for farming began in childhood, during summers spent in the lush villages of Konkan. Those early experiences sowed the seeds of a dream that would take decades to bloom. After a successful career in electronics and automation, Milind decided to follow his heart and become a farmer. With unwavering support from his wife, Meenakshi, Bapat Farms was born—a labour of love and resilience.

Building the Dream

Starting with a remote plot in Asond near Dapoli, Milind faced challenges that would test anyone’s resolve—no road, no power, no workforce. But perseverance paid off. From transporting electric poles himself to learning modern farming techniques, Milind transformed barren land into a thriving farm. Today, Bapat Farms spans acres of fertile soil, growing everything from cashews and Alphonso mangoes to leafy greens and local yams.

One of our proudest achievements is pioneering bush pepper cultivation under shade nets—the first of its kind in Konkan.
